Queen City Auto rebuild or Haury's Lake City Collision
Hi All,
I've been lurking on this forum fora little while but finally decided to register.. I'm mainly on e90post.com but like how this is not exclusive to just BMW's but to all car enthusiast.
With that said, my car was recently hit while parked. The rear bumper probably needs to be replaced. The color is Arctic Metallic, the paint is very hard to match and part of the bumper should be blended to the other side of the car. (long story short, the body shop I took it to long time ago royally ****ed up and the paint match is horrible so Jeff at Haury's was able to make the bumper blend to match both colors)
I've taken my car to Haury's before twice and thought they were good, but they missed some of the small detail work. I'm trying to decide if I should give Queen City a try? Seems like a lot of people from here recommend Queen City. Please provide your thoughts, I know that with every body shop comes good and bad.

The guys at Haury's were nice to deal with however I also had a so so experience with my old 6 series Vert. They told me they would remove parts to be painted and scuffed for paint adhesion purposes but when I got the car back it was clear that they didn't prepare the parts correctly as the paint slowly peeled off over time and underneath was the chrome unscuffed. Wasn't impressed.
I've gone to them 3 times with only once where I was satisfied.
I have no info on Queen City but have heard good things.
Good Luck!

With all the positive feedback, I think I will give Queen City a try, I really liked Haury's but like I said, they couldn't get the small details right... They were booked and understaffed I'll give them that, but thats no excuse to miss small but simple details that should have been fixed, especially after I reminded them twice before I even picked up my car. If I ever use them again, I will be even more **** about the small stuff...

I had Haury's respray the front bumper of my S63. When I got it back, I noticed a huge drip line near the side vents. They also managed to break an interior ashtray cover.
They took care of both items, but the paint drip line was pretty amateurish.

I've always been satisfied with QC. They've gone above and beyond for me on multiple occasions and have come through everytime for me. They're moving sometime next year to a new facility off Willows Road. Should be pretty sweet when they finish the move.
