Don't know the owner, but for what it's worth, I paid $39.5k for my '08 M3 sedan when I bought it from BMW Seattle earlier this year. Had 42k on the clock and all the sames options as that car except the 19" wheels.

That's sorta my budget at the moment. I currently have e39 but never had ///M so not really sure what to look for other than buying it from a reputable dealer (like you did) or local BMW enthusiast.
