Thumbs up Nicely Put together.

Maciej, nicely put together. Had a great time, excellent pictures. I think everyone got away without any tickets. I will get your PayPal info from victor and will happily make a donation.
Thank you.

Thanks! Most definitely appreciate it.

This is the beginning of an awesome year of meets.. I just finished putting my bike back together, well half of it, so next time you guys will have bikes as leaders, and a few groups. I'll be sending out PM's most likely tomorrow.

I got a e-mail from Marciej too about a "donation" Guys what exactly is the donation for? Not trying to be a jerk.. but just wondering? There is a LARGE group of guys from this board that regularly GTG LOCALLY and go for drives. We have been doing so for a few years now and we have NEVER asked or solicited donations. It's not like these COST anything to run or organize... IMHO Hoviks Exotics Runs cost MUCH more money to organize and he only recently started asking for donations and usually they are for charities...

It seems to me like Marciej is soliciting donations from us just because we have "money" Seriously is it just me or is something not smell right?

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE DONATION FOR? Marciej's new car fund? Or for just being a nice guy and organizing a run... which we do anyway... On a weekly basis....

Just curious???????

FWIW: I know Marciej and have met him in person and he seems like a nice enough guy. It just seems odd that a person who doesn't own a P-car or any car that "fits" (not to be a snob) would be trying to organize meets for us and then ask for donations. Heck if he just wants to have fun then just set up a meet and be done with it... Asking for "donations" is lame... If you want to get PAID organize something worth getting paid for...

Im not soliciting donations. Anyone who wants to fine. If you feel that you do not want to join or think I shouldnt be there then thats fine. You don't need to come. I love although how you did not attend yet have such a strong opinion about how it didn't take any effort.

I also believe the event resulted in some happy members.

If you have any issues with what I do then I'd like for you to not post in these threads.

Guys, I have to say that I disagree with you. MacieJ is putting a lot of his own time to pull these events together. He also happens to be one of the most helpful members that I have met on the forum in general. Asking for something back for the personal time and effort that he is putting in on behalf of us NJ/NY based members is not unreasonable. That's my opinion anyway.

Marciej... I didn't attend because I was busy. I've been to GTG's that I've organized and also have posted up here about FREE GTG's locally only to have you come on the thread and post up about yours that you are now asking "donations" for... If you are going to CHARGE people at least be up front about it.... disguising it as a "donation" is lame IMHO... if it is so much effort to organize and put together and you feel you need to be financailly compensated for your time then at least say so... call an ace and ace and a spade a spade...

I remember at the Eurolounge you were telling me you were trying to put together a meet/interests/site (and how much money you were going to make from it) I guess this is the beginning of it..

I ask you again... WHAT EXACTLY IS THE DONATION FOR? Your time????

Like I said... there are MANY of us on this forum that GTG locally.. go for spirited drives and do things together. No one has ever asked for money for taking the time to set these meets up. Like I pointed out Hovik's runs used to be FREE and then he started charging once he got CHARITIES involved...

There is a HUGE Euro/Import meet every week In edgewater on Thursday nights... Pcars, Ferrari's Lambos etc... People meet there and roll out on drives.. I don't think anyone has ever asked to be finacially copmensated for these.

If you like organizing meets great! But the fact is you don't have a car to drive... and are now asking forum members who do, to pay you for organizing GTG's...

I have to agree with str8blst - Maciej is a real a-hole for asking for donations. He didn't even put much effort into the run, and he's already here with his hand out asking for spare change. I'll tell you what, Maciej, next run, I'll see what I got under my floor mats and throw it out the window for you as I drive by.

I originally thought he was cool, now I see his true colors - He's only looking for money so he can put the other half of his bike together. No wonder he wants to have a run every two weeks, that's going to add up to a fortune by the end of the summer!

F him!

April fools! Great run Maciej. See you soon.

You're funny Alan, two people send a small donation and now I'm CHARGING entrance fees for a meet, I love your over reaction, it just makes it so obvious that you have an issue with me. Please grow up.

Second of all, its MACIEJ, get it right.

This is way different from the Edgewater meet (which has seen a fair amount of heat late last summer). If a group of people met at Edgewater and got bored, they went for a drive - No real plans, planning of routes, mapping, etc.

Maciej did spend a lot of time on planning the route - the day before the meet he drove on all the roads we were going on to make sure they were open, clear of debris, and in good condition. He made a detailed itinerary on what routes we were taking and different meet points along the way in case someone got lost, needed fuel, etc. I am sure a lot of time and effort went into that. So if you were on the run, and appreciated it, then it's YOUR CHOICE to make a donation.

Plus, he is friendly with some of the local police on the routes we were taking, so perhaps we would be given certain latitude if you had a minor infraction like no front plate or something like that....
