DAMN...this thing got heated there for a bit.

Maciej is a good guy...honestly I would pay a small fee (remember Maciej...I said SMALL fee) for him to organize events...I have organized a few myself (because I really enjoy these get togethers) and it's a lot of work and time and effort.

Don't kill the guy because he can't afford a super-car yet! When I was his age I could barely afford a few beers much less a Porsche!

Normally Alan I would totally agree with you and it annoys the hell out of me when people come to these events just to sell you stuff...it ruins the whole thing...but Maciej has never been that way. So Alan I am happy you said something to hopefully ward off other evil do-ers but Maciej is a good honest man (so far!).

I hope you guys can put this behind you as you are both guys I like to hang out with!

I just want to make it public that I'm not looking to take anyones money. Hell I still feel uncomfortable naming a price for designing a website

I just don't appreciate being called out for asking for money when thats no where near the reality. And alot of peole on here that have met me or know me, know that. I feel real uncomfortable naming xxxx price for a web designing all the time, I'm a shy person when talk of money arises. I've come from a family that had nothing, I work hard for everything I have. But I would NEVER charge for a meet, unless it was a barbecue or something of that nature where something would need to be purchased and I would return any unused funds.

My main priority is having events where everyone goes home and says "HOLY $HIT that was fun!"

I see your points. I certainly am not bashing the guy for not owning a P-car. I've known Maciej for quite some time now... Heck he even used my name to help get himself a job at Protosport a while back. He is not with Proto now... One of the reasons I posted was because guys we do have weekly meets. Once in a while people will organize their own meets and often take time out of their busy schedules to put things together. I myself have done so in the past at my expense... but hey I was the one who called the meet/GTG so that is EXPECTED.
Now if someone who is trying to get a group of enthusiasts together for the sake of comrodery then that's fine.... but if you are going to take "donations/get paid" then just say that's what you are looking for in the first place. That's all.... Like I said... I spoke with Maciej a while back about his ideas for meets/website etc. I do know he is not looking to do these for free forever. He has posted on GTG threads I started only to post about his own meets/gtg's which he is now gettting "donations" for... (albeit small ones but hey getting paid is getting paid)
If you are coming onto a enthusiasts website and asking said members to attend a meet you are putting together. Then I ask you is it fair to ask them to pay you for your time? Is your time more valuable then theirs? Personally I would never take a "donation" from anyone here if I was calling a meet/GTG. Because it's all about the cars and making new friends. Save the money for MODS!!!
Anyway.. sorry if I rained on the parade. I am happy everyone had a good time. I just hope that we are not going to see a new emergence of pay-to-GTG threads... IMHO that would be very very lame and not what this website was intended for at all.... heck ... do people pay to go to Crystal Cove/Car's-n-coffee, edgewater, or Captree?

BTW: we can both definately put this behind us. I certainly don't have any "personal" beef with maciej. I wish him the best of luck on his future GTG's and I really hope he plans on coming out to hang at some of the other local meets... Hopefully I will not get banned from his...
