CT Get Togethers for 2010?

I was just looking to see if there are any plans for folks to do some GTG's this coming year. I noticed this thread (below) and thought I'd start a more focused thread to see if there's interest.
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...tford-etc.html

It would be neat to meet some fellow members and see some interesting cars. If you're in the CT area and would be interested in getting together every so often, post up.

I was thinking several meetings over the course of the year in various spots around CT. I have a couple of P-cars, so I'm not opposed to making it P-car only, but I think it would be a lot more fun to invite all (except ricers ). Meeting someplace and shooting the **** would be fun, adding a drive on the backside sounds even better. A Sunday morning GTG one time, maybe a Saturday/Friday night the next time... whatever.

I suspect varying the location and plans would keep it interesting. Hammonasset State Park, Gillette's Castle, a casino run, LimeRock Park, Mystic, maybe a fall foliage run, whatever.

Warm weather and clean roads are just around the corner, so post up if there's some interest!

The weather is warming up and it wont be long before the roads are clean!

Lets see if we can get some more people interested and make this happen.

I'm planning on going to this......

Come join Wayne Carini, his amazing team and the crew of Chasing Classic Cars at Wayne's dealership, F40 Motorsports, on Sunday, May, 2 to kick off a year of stellar automobiles! Classic, vintage and exotic rides from all time periods will be on display. If you have a car you want others to see, bring it to the event.

The Open House runs from 10AM to 3PM and all are welcome. Please note that the F40 parking lot is reserved for show cars, but there will be parking available across the street and on the road.

Bring the whole family and enjoy a day of great cars, food hosted by Cavaliere's in Portland and new Chasing Classic Cars gear including hats, t-shirts, calendars, art prints and more.

Please call or Email Mike for additional information.

Okay, lets start a CT based Cars and Coffee

Assuming there isn't already a regular event planned in CT, I'm in the very early stages of starting to put something together and already have a few folks interested. I suspect the first event wont be huge, but I think it would grow fairly rapidly as word got out. I'll post details as I get more info. If you have good ideas for possible locations, feel free to post your thoughts. At this point I was thinking about keeping the locations toward the central third of the state to keep driving distances reasonable for all.

If others are interested in a CT based Cars and Coffee, please post here or I can be reached at fastcat@sbcglobal.net

i know over on ferrari chat there is a weekly/bi weekly f car meet usually in glastonbury at a starbucks. ive never been so i dont know the usual turnout, but i do know a few cars do show up from seeing pics. im assuming they would start doing that soon but, i think it would be cool to do something with other 6speed members since there is a broader range of cars, or so it seems.
