With the end of summer fast approaching, I wanted to pose the question, does anyone keep their cars separate from their homes? I am looking to do this for 2 reasons: 1) I am planning some major home renovations over late fall/winter and will be keeping a lot of my items out of sight in the garage where my 930 sits 2) To prevent myself from the temptation of driving my 930 on salty/slippery/wet roads, I am considering to keep my 930 in a storage facility. Does anyone have any experiences with this? I am willing to drive up to 60 miles radius from Manhattan for the right place.

Just wanted to follow-up on my post.

So its been a little while, but I wanted to report back in case anyone here was on the same search and was looking for opinions!

I checked out Deluxe Car Storage in New Hyde Park, NY and was amazed at this facility.
It's a brand new location and is located right next to the LIRR station so getting there is quite easy. I was greeted warmly by the manager and we went over various storage options. They offered to take my car in for service on my behalf as they know a great Porsche mechanic not too far away on the island so that will be done. They also are going to have my car inspected by DMV when it is due in December!

Overall I can't say enough good things about this place and I encourage you to give this place a try if you are looking to put your car away for the winter.
