I definately disagree on the bike. Bikes are at huge disadvantage at speed. Off the line, yes, they will destroy you, at speed, depending on car, no they will not.

The final edition Esprits, make more than 360 crank hp. My car made 344rwhp bone stock, so over 400 crank hp. Car now weighs approx 2900pds, making 390-400rwhp.

We changed the computer, air filters, full exhaust, no cats, boost controller, and Blow off valves. Car pulls very hard. Pulls much harder than the murcielago i drove this weekend.

Lotus claims 350 Stock. The one I drove felt like a 350hp 3000 pound car. You must have a finer example. Non-the-less, I liked the one I drove much more so than the 360.

Yes, Lotus claims 350hp stock, they did that so they wouldnt have to recertify the cars. For the final editions, they added more power, adjustable suspension, short shift, wheel presure sensors, and some other goodies and made no formal announcements. In bone stock form, the final editions are faster than a 996TT.

As far as attention, in the couple days ive had it, it has gotten more thumbs up, more pictures, more questions than my 355 Spider did in 2 years.

Car looks great, but I think you need a bigger rear spoiler.

As i said, my last 2000 Esprit had 50k trouble free miles. They are great cars. Maybe ask Rufmd, he also has one here.

Are the final editions you are referring to the ones that come with center exhaust and new taillights? Are those the best buys?

In 2002 for the Anniv they made those changes. For the final editions they also made the mechanical changes. For example, a 2002 made 312 rwhp bone stock recently, my final edition made 344rwhp.

I owned a 94 S4 Esprit...no problems at all....

I currently have a 2001 Esprit, no mechanical problems at all.

It doesn't feel as tight as my R Turbo in terms of fit and finish, but I love the looks and street presence. It really seems to slither along the ground....
