Why do people always like to talk about other cars on this forum especially?

I've always been a big fan of the esprit btw. All lotuses for that matter, especially the elan s4.

 

I'm a fairly diehard Lotus guy (owned both a '95 S4S Esprit and a 2002 V8 Esprit, and currently have a pair of Elises) and have never heard of this mysterious power upgrade to the final editions.

But who knows.. Lotus does some weired stuff sometimes...

As for reliability, my s4s was a nightmare. The day the tranny fell out at a stoplight was.. enlightening. The 02 was much better, except that the cooling was insufficient for the Texas summer. When I moved from CA the '02 got traded for a C4 cab and an elise, but other than that, no issues with the car.

 

There is a Lotus Shop close to where I work, so I always take a peak on the way to work, usually there is 3-7 cars parked everyday. I love Lotuses.
The Esprit is the other car besides the 911 that has maintained and slowly improved i'ts lines over the years.

Thats weird. I had my 2000 Esprit running around in Az in as hot as 115 degrees and it was ok.
