2003-2004 Jaguar X-Type Reliability?

I'm looking for a DD for under $10,000 and came across a 2003 and a 2004 3.0 X-Type with about 70,000 miles. Both are automatic.

I was wondering how reliable the X-Type is.

I also have a choice between the X-Type and a 2003 MB E320 with 89,000 miles.

Thanks!
