Sold my NSX...went a little more...old school
I'm halfway through the front end 240Z refresh. Need to wire the turn signals, remove the old ones in the grille, and mount the early bumper I had straightened and rechromed. The Fairlady Z mirrors are on. Will probably paint the front end here eventually when I have the entire car resprayed.

Sitting outside the bumper shop. My camera skills are not the best haha.

I'm planning to leave them for now. I actually do suffer from some vapor lock while starting hot, but it generally clears quickly.

If you do end up removing the ZX hood scoop, make sure you at least install the late 280z vents or you will end up with vapor lock and misfire issues when starting the car after a 15 minute hot soak (like when you come out of the video store).
If you get issues with it, you can install the factory 280zx turbo injector cooling air blower but it is pretty ugly......but very effective.

Throwing around the idea of selling or trading the car.

Nice Z car! I too just sold my NSX but I'm looking to go in a different direction and replacing it with a 911 TT. Was it as hard for you to see your NSX go off into the sunset as it was for me?
Thanks. I'd like to have an early 240Z as well. These 280s lend themselves to a great deal of potential with the stiffer chassis though.
Yeah, I hear you, I have been a member on Prime for over 10 years and I was amazed how many guys eventually bought another one claiming how much they missed theirs. Honestly, I hope not to feel that way but I guess you never know!
Hey guys. Long time, no update.
I'm moving from Del Rio to Corpus Christi, TX, over the next month. In the meantime, between the busy work schedule, I've managed to finish up my 240Z front end. I decided to take a few pics before moving for memory's sake. It would be really hard to let this car go now, so I'm probably going to delay my next NSX so that I can have both.
Enjoy!

Thanks. I believe it was painted probably 10-15 years ago and the paint is in surprisingly good shape. I plan on polishing it pretty soon to get it even nicer. It sat for about 10 years in a garage too, so it may have been further back that it was painted.
