As far as the M3 VS 911...the Nismo Z is rated at 20hp more due to an ECU tune. Cold air intakes on a dyno are yielding 17 to 18 to the rear wheels so an easy way to make the same numbers as a nismo Z is with the intake.

M3's and 911's have a bit more power so while the Z is fast, I'm not 100% sure where it would or would not end up against an M3 or 911. They are all nice cars so you can't go wrong with any of them :-)

The 370Z is by no means slow nor is it the fastest car out there either...then again the same can be said for most any car, there's always something faster out there.

Looks like it would be a fun car to own. Not a fan of the headlights and taillights though...

The 370z will not beat the current 911 pdk nor the current M3. It will beat the e46 M3 and run with the older 911's. Great car but let's be realistic about it's stock to stock performance vs other cars.

The 370Z looks like it was hit in the rear by steamroller. The 350Z looks better although not by much ...

I was thaaat close to getting a new Z, but got a killer deal on the IS-F. Both great cars. New Z is leaps and bounds above the 350z. Google image search: Branew 370z if you have not seen it yet. Best aftermarket 370 set up out there. it's HOT!

The Coupe is stunning, but I dont think I share the same feelings for the convertible. Well... I dont really like convertibles in general .. But that's just my two cents.

the 370z is nice and great bang for a buck, but I'm not so sure about it beating e46 m3. At best it'd be a driver's race, so far I've seen 13.7 sec passes for Z, e46 m3s run low 13s.

I have to ask this question. How old are you?
No offense but I've seen your others posts and you create the most mindless crap I've seen in a while.

There are a few 13.2's and 13.1's out there trapping up to 110. There aren't that many out there yet so once some broken in examples get in the hands of capable drivers I think you will see some consistent low 13's with maybe a few very high 12's thrown in. It does seem the 7AT is running faster so far, quickest I have seen from a stock 7AT is 13.164 @ 107 with a 1.97 60'...

I do agree with you that it would come down to the driver though.
