Tough Decision - Part with "too nice to drive" Hardtop Supra or Z06 TT
I've been debating a decision--more like struggling... A friend has a simply amazing Protomotive built 996 TT that I really want, but current garage space constraints mean I'd have to part with one of my current cars.
I have narrowed it down to either my 1993 Supra Hardtop Turbo or my Z06 Twin Turbo.
The Hardtop Supra Turbo is collector quality and may honestly be the nicest remaining example of a stock hardtop TT in the country w/all original paint/vins and documentation. My plan has been to just hang on to it as a collector car so doesn't really get driven except to the occasional car show.
Coincidentally Getrag who makes the transmissions for the Supra just sold a 9k mile white Hardtop TT they had owned since new and was all original. The photos of the under carriage clearly showed it wasn't nearly as nice as the one I own. My only point is if I let it go, I'm doubtful I'll ever find another one as nice.
The other option would be to sell my '07 Z06 TT which is 1,000HP built by race proven motorsports. I do drive the Z06 and it is an adrenaline rush. While I can't stand the color (yellow) and the car isn't anywhere as refined as my other cars, it offers something the other cars don't which is a bit more raw feel. Just a bit more about his car to give you a better idea of the decision I'm wrestling with: This Z06 is a total sleeper and really built right. Runs on pump gas and drives, sounds, and has cluth pedal feel of a stock Z06 and get's 30 mpg cruising down the highway. When you stomp on it and reach 3500 RPM's all hell breaks loose and probably one of the few cars I've ever driven that scares me a bit at times. It also has boost by gear which is really a benefit in creating the perfect tune on this car.
Couple photos of each below and interested in hearing opinions:

Wow the supra is mint, I would personally keep the supra
. I was going to part with my supra but decided to keep it instead (only 13 of black 95tt 6spd were sold up here in Canada). BTW, you have a sick stable and I should be the one taking advices from you. Do you mind posting a few pis of the G
?

Tough call...I personally prefer the 98 you have so would keep that over the HT. On the other hand, if you really are torn, and need to sell 1, I'd say the Z06 you could have built again later if you wanted. It may be hard to find the right HT again.

Ya'll aren't providing the guiding light I was hoping for here and I have to temper this with the fact that I posted in the Supra section of this forum
Thanks for the compliment--The Chrysler is the best car in the group as it has a total cost to drive per year of zero $$ (Co Car).
The '98 has just undergone significant mods so hard to compare the two--if I had my choice I'd prefer the hardtop with the same level of mods, but couldn't bring myself to do it to this car as its just too pristine and it could end up in a museum collection some day.
You are correct - but if I sell it I'm going to vow not to buy any more cars that don't get driven as they are essentially just become garage fixtures!
Agreed - tough decision, but in reality if you aren't driving it, sometimes you wonder what the heck the point is!
Here are a couple photos of the TTG. It is just being finished up and will be on the dyno tomorrow and then photo shoot and video's after that and then hopefully it will be here shortly so I can start driving it!
