Thanks Mike,

Sounds great. Did the ribbon drivers appear to be aggressive in the mids to you? Did it seem pretty flat and tight overall with no obvious bumps across the freq spectrum? That's the one thing that's great about the Levinson. I can take a mix out of the studio and know exactly what I'm going to hear when i get in the car. If it's wrong it tells me. There is a slight mid bump with the Levinson but for the most part it's quite accurate indeed. Of course you have to turn off that damn ASL compression on the audio screen. I can't wait to check out all three models this weekend down in Dallas. I just wish it wasn't OU/Texas weekend. It's going to be a mad house down there, especially if we (OK) loose.

Ted.

so many of those options are so stupid and excessive beyond any reasoning.
Heated seats and stearing wheels
YOU ARE IN DALLAS!!!
didnt you just have 20 days in a row of 100+ temps?!?!

hell, even if you were in Alaska, do you have a frigid ***?? Does the heat not work in the car?? Everything will be plenty warm in a minute or two.

But hey, it your choice, and your money, and your ugly car.
Have fun

I love it but the biggest problem in OK, let alone TX, is it's so freaking hot... My '08CTT has two tone beige and is stunning. This is the route I will go most likely if I order the Panamera.

I've got to hear the Burmester before I buy it. Unfortunately none of the launch cars are going to have it which makes little sense if Porsche wants to sell any. My needs being a professional audio engineer are way more critical than most. The system must be highly accurate not just sound good. Ribbon drivers, if not tuned properly, can skew the midrange making it sound very wide and spacious, not necessarily flat and accurate... The low-end response and tuning of the sub is even more critical when referencing mixes. My hope is they nailed it. Levinson definitely accomplished this in the 400 series Lexus's. Ironically that stereo has been accused of being boring and lifeless which is exactly what well tuned studio monitors are accused of by the untrained ear.

BTW carbon grey is an excellent choice. I would team it up with 20" 911 Turbo 5 spokes and black interior loaded with carbon fibre and red or white stitching.

I saw the car in person yesterday here in New Delhi and am really impressed. Much better in person and heavenly interiors. Now only if it costed 140K and not 280k back here in india!
if you get the pics, please post, them, i haven't seen one in the guards red yet, it would be interesting, especially if he ordered red brakes.

All that and no PDCC??? Wow, I'd take that over half the other options, especially Adaptive Cruise. I love the interior though. It's exactly like my met silver '08CTT. It's beautiful in person. Everybody has commented on it as soon as they see it.

Oh, and that thermal glass will stop your Pike Pass from working which is a pain in the butt. I've had to rig/wedge mine up in the sunroof on the CTT to get it to work.

The wood especially, is very rich looking. I am between gray or black leather/carpets. As goofy as I am with cleanliness the tan shades would drive me insane if dirtied. And yes, there are more than a few opts on that car that I would pass on. Thanks for the heads up on the glass/ if a close car came with it. Tollway junky here. I have seen a car with the rear wiper and it really fused up the glass. Just layer on some RainX.....

A basalt black/black turbo just popped in my email box. 156K...

Yep, I was afraid the wiper would further compromise the rear which is probably not a good thing

You know, the tan really doesn't show dirt that badly. I have kids, just went cross country, and it really isn't an issue. That combo though is awesome in person. In fact I didn't like it when I saw it in the pictures at Park Place (partly because of the white balance of the camera uses skewed the colors) but when I got there and saw it in person I was blown away. it's so rich but balanced.

Oh yes, the B on B sounds awesome...

Now....

I have been reading all of the comments about depreciation/bugaboos/turbo not as fluid as the NA and so forth.

*I leased an 07 BMW 335 when it first came out. HPFP failure, o2 sensors and brake warning gremlins drove me to early bail out. If I am spending +100K I cannot see going through any of that action again. Not to say there will be problems but the odds are in favor of just that.

*I would kick myself if, in let's say 8 months, the dealers are willing to drop 10K off to move the product.

I have the patience of a humming bird when I get my scope lined up on something, especially cars, but I think I need to take a chill pill for now on this one.

Thanks go out to all of you who have contributed with their reviews and information.

Ted: I have not seen one over at P Place. I have not been down that way in a few days. Far north guy here.

I appologize for my ahole post

I still think its silly to have heated seats and especially a stearing wheel in general, but I didnt have to be an *** about it.

I also went to the dealer yeasterday and saw the new Panamera and it looks so much better in person than in pics and to be honest has to be the first real 4 seater sports car. All the other that have four seats are only really usable in the back if you dont have legs
Interior was very nice too and I loved the sporty back seats
Ive considered a used Phantom in the past, this would have me thinking otherwise if that time to buy a 4 seater ever comes
