the steering wheels look the same in the Panamera as the 997's - PDK is the same so i would think that the new paddle steering wheel can be swapped out to the Panamera - it is a nice looking wheel imo and seems to have less plastic!!!!


i was driving a 4S and Turbo this weekend and i really would like to be able to get those style of shifters

anyone else have info on the swap out?

 

Knowing Porsche itll come as a option some time in March and **** everyone off!

 

I'd actually be surprised if it wasn't an option on at least the 2011 model year.

 

Paddles will be available on all PDK cars for 2011 according to one of our Porsche reps. we shall see, I hope they are right.

I sure hope we can get the paddles, loved them on my M5. I find myself using the shifter more often for gear changes with the PDK and the steering wheel buttons.

saw a pic again and we can't take the 997 wheel as it doesn't have the multi functions of the pano wheel for the info schroll

 

is there a multi function version of the paddle shift wheel?

 

thepic i saw made it look like the arms of the steering wheel were all metal - but if it was just metal look than i suppose they could overlay the controls. overall though, looked more like the 997 sport wheel which just doesn't allow for multi function controls
