forged 22's on my Panamera project
not a bad looking front end...a little square from the rendering, but we'll just have to see when they finish the real deal. most of Vorsteiner's product turns out pretty clean, and the quality is acceptable...but who else besides Mansory and certain Tech Art products are tooled in oem style pu-rim...

Don't know if Speed Art 970 parts are made from pu-rim or fiberglass...i know a couple of their trim pieces are carbon, but just because any tuner makes a part from carbon, pu-rim or fiberglass..doesn't mean it's tooled to fit right.
i guess most people will go with the design they like best, and cross their fingers on fitment and finish.

The rear of the Masory kit looks like it shares a similar exhaust tip from the Lambo Murcy. I love black chrome, very hard to find someone to do it well on a regular basis. Yours look pretty good.
Where did you order the mansory kit from?

We just received 2 full Pana Aero kits and 2 sets of LSC Forged wheels from speedART right before the weekend.
The Mansory pricetag and labor didn't make my cut at the end of the day. With the brand name, number of parts involved and estimated labor, I've opted for a new set of shoes and a different aero program. ...pics to follow on the project.

so it's been a little over a month since i last shared about my project. love it or hate it, to each his own, i think it will be a sleek vehicle that's not over the top like a Mansory or understated like Tech Art.
I ended up choosing the Rivage aero kit for its big open mouths in the front similar to Mansory and its straight knock off of the R8 rear end. Yes, every one has said "looks like an R8" etc etc etc...but hey to each his own. It looks so much better in person.
I had the guys @ Platinum paint various areas of the front bumper openings to give it a larger look. I also decided to paint the headlamp washers in white as well. One of the ideas behind the project was to get rid of all the chrome accents around the car.
The front bumper support and other various trim behind the bumper was also painted.

The side skirts mounted up to all factory assembly points, which was a big plus.

The most labor intensive part of the project was removing the chrome trim around both the front and rear door. In order to remove these pieces, all the doors have to be stripped down the the skin. For the average technician, this can take 1 day to remove and 1 day to put back on. While most choose to paint their trims
, I was looking for longevity of the finish, so we sent the trims to powdercoat
. I chose a gloss black finish to match with the factory gloss black pillar.

From what the painter and installer told me, the kit fit like a glove. I snapped a kit of the rear bumper on each side. You can the the quarter panel lines align perfectly. Although the composition of each part is made from frp, there was next to none when it came to waves and inconsistencies in the parts when they came out of the box. Minor sanding, 1 coat of primer, and all the parts were ready to paint. We painted the rear bumper openings with matte black trim to give it an overall bigger effect just like the front. The rear vents were sent to a carbon specialist to get wrapped in matte carbon.

The factory caliper color was way too dull for me, so i opted for yellow treated calipers, high-temp paint of course.

The modular wheels were made by a friend of mine in 22x9.0 22x10.5. Powdercoated gloss black inner/outer lips. Dualtone matte-gloss black face. Yokohama Advan 255/30-22 295/25-22. He even used titanium fasteners for me, which have great functionality and look much better than those cheap chrome fasteners from China most companies use nowadays.

He also set me up with a plug-and-play electronic lowering module, which took the car down about another 1.25"F/1.0"R in the lowest mode.
...whewww ... that's the longest post i've ever written
, but hey it's Saturday! car should be all put back together next week. will post pics of the final build.
