She's Back and 100% Complete
4 Attachment(s)
Complete, until I think of a new things I'd like to mod...like the exhaust tips and swapping black side vent for chrome. Can't decide whether to replace hood crest with silver version. Since I have the painted center caps, I like that they match, but also like the look of the silver crest on a black car.
I picked up my PanS over a week ago, but I had a small list of items that needed to be completed by the dealer. Well, got her back yesterday, and she's perfect: 1) Swapped Black Painted Spyder wheels for TurboII 2) Windows Tinted 3) Clear Side Marker Tinted 4) Swapped Walnut interior for Piano Black 5) 7mm Wheel Spacers installed on rear wheels. Here are some before/after shots. |

It looks great. Mine is supposed to be completed at the factory on Monday. Then the long wait for delivery. How did you do the side markers, with window tint film?

What color is yours? I think it looks great on Black/Basalt as it blends in to the paint color. I did learn a tidbit of info as to why Porsche ships all US cars with Amber side markers...something I didn't realize before: http://porschebahn.wordpress.com/201...-your-porsche/ Starting with the 1968 model year the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) mandated that all cars and trucks be equipped with Yellow side marker lenses on the front fenders and Red on the rear to help other drivers know which direction a vehicle was traveling when viewed from side angles. The Europeans do the same but they use clear lenses on the front with a yellow bulb accomplishing the same result when viewed at night and those are the ones we put on the cars for the clients. The NHTSA want reflector lenses in Yellow so when the bulb is burned out it will still reflect in Yellow. I believe the mandate is under review with the NHTSA to allow clear lenses be put on the cars by the manufacturers. Let’s hope it goes through. |
Putting window tinting unto consideration you can conserve a lot of energy by putting up well tinted car windows, affectivity ratings show a significant increase on battery and gas savings since you’re using minimal cooling or heating system with the use of windows tints. For example, solar control window tints moderates the sunlight entering your car while balancing your car temperature and capable of blocking up to 99% of UV rays. For each degree you raise or lower your thermostat, you can save anywhere from 1 to 5 percent on your battery and gas depending on where you live. Plus the known fact that well tinted windows has fewer tendencies to be carjacked, the better the tint the better your security is. You can find out more about window tints at www.TintBuyer.com. They provide relevant information about window tints such as its types, prices in the market, and help locate the best professional tinter near you.

Yes, Window Tint. cc08gt2 gave me the idea as he had the dealer (same as my dealer) do this on his PTT (see his thread here).

Your car looks great. I mean great. Now I know which car you bought. Those black painted spyder wheels were a certain "traded in" set that came off my Pana. How funny. Love the car.
