Adaptive Air Supension Problems
My Porsche Turbo after setting for a couple days drops on the driver's side by more than a inch. The service tech said they have replaced a couple of the struts already for having a leaking value that allows the air to leak out of the shocks when sitting. Also when the car is turned on, all shocks pumped back up, the passenger side is 1/4 to 3/8 higher than the driver's side. They can recalibrate the modules to level the car for that problem. If you have your car sit for a couple days you might want to check the wheel well measurements on each wheel to make sure you do not have a leak. Also check with car running to see if you have equal maeasurements on both drivers and passenger sides of car.

I wouldn't do any type of air suspension, oem or aftermarket, on any car. Gotta be trouble after a while. Just gotta be!
I have a Panamera Turbo with Adaptive Air. I have also had three Cayenne Turbos with the option (standard on Turbos, optional on others). The loaner vehicles when you have yours serviced, generally don't have the option. You get to see what you're missing when they give you one without it. I wouldn't buy one without it. The convenience alone, not counting the improved ride, is worth the price.
On the Panamera, you can push a button and raise it to clear those steep-approach driveways and speed bumps (at low speeds only) and it lowers itself at speed or when you select Sport Chrono Plus.
Now a little common sense: If Porsche has to pay a lot of warranty on a particular feature that is trouble-prone, they will either drop it or improve it. I've never had a problem with any of mine, nor do I know of anyone who has. I'm sure that some few do have problems as anything can go wrong, but I wouldn't expect a problem or give up the features because something might go wrong. Get it fixed, under warranty for the first four years or get rid of it if you can't afford to fix it later. It's worth it.

My P2S has Adaptive Air and I LOVE IT. I originally wasn't sure about it, much less the $$$ to add it, but it makes such a difference. First of all, I drive the car with Suspension set to Sport Plus 100% of the time. I like the firmer/lower ride. But when the wife is in the car, it's either in base Comfort or Sport mode (still fairly soft).
And then there's the curb parking: raise it when I'm parking to make sure I don't catch the front end on the curb. It sort of looks weird, sitting so high, but that's better than getting torn up.
If you're still torn, drive one without, then drive one with, and shuffle through the suspension settings. I think you'll notice a marked difference when you do.

I wondered about durability, but as far as function, it works very well. With mine, I also drive sport plus a lot, in the lowest position. Love the stiffness, more like my track/street car was. But potholes and rough streets are so much better in the next to highest position with the softest suspension. Then going up a steep entryway with traffic waiting is best in the highest position. I am very glad I purchased it.
