Love my new P4S but noticed on a long trip this weekend my phone disconnected from the car three times. Had to shut off the stereo system and turn it back on to get it to reconnect. Using an iPhone 4, but do not have the issue in any of the Mercs, or BMW cars.

Anyone else have similar issues???

I believe you will have these problems just because the IPhone4 is new and may not be compatible...you might think its just the bluetooth which is the same for all phones regardless of versions but that is really not the case, I learnt it from a BMW dealer that if the car is not officially compatible with a certain phone then any problems resulting from that phone will not be addressed by the dealer

 

My blackberry tmobile with no issues at all. I haven't taken a trip longer than 30 minutes so cant comment on that

 

On occasion, our P-car does not bring up the phonebook for my wife's Blackberry. It occurs about one-third of the time. She has not tried turning off the stereo and then back on again which I will suggest but usually when the phonebook doesn't load she just waits till she shuts the car down then when she restarts it all back to normal.....until sometime "down the road" it does it again. No rhyme or reason.

Any ideas?

 

Also have issues syncing with my 11 P4 I just picked up 2 days ago.
Am trying to sync the HTC thunderbolt and it registers, connects, etc. and when it is syncing the phonebook and call logs it just disconnects. I can't get it to stay connected, it will make calls no problem for the few minutes it is connected, but then it just drops. I have tried updated firmware on the phone, re-registering in the PCM menu...just about everything. This phone was syncing no problem with my 08 BMW that I just traded in...

Any help is appreciated
