Just to complete the choice - how do you rate the V8 against the high powered MB that you have owned in the past. Certainly from a "looks" perspective and uniqueness the Panamera is heads above in my opinion.
tokin on the peace pipe thanks!

No comparison really with the MB cars. The BS is absolutley the most powerful factory stock machine I've ever driven. Blisteringly fast and a TQ monster. You cannot beat the exhaust note that thing makes either! The BS rides like a stage coach but what a great car! Its really a race car with license plates and MB won't void your warranty IF you take it on the track! The others were more civilized but still scary fast. Fantastic automobiles. I miss the SL55 and the BS.

Your right on with the uniqueness and "looks", my wife and I get more comments on the Panamera when we're out in it than all of the previous 50 cars we've owned.... put together! It's almost to the point of intrusive. I think the Panamera is a beautiful machine.

I guess in a way we all compromised in some way or we'd all be driving PTTs...... if this is what compromise is all about perhaps I should do it more often...

+1 and then some! It's gotten to the point where I'm really considering another DD. I now hate/don't trust valet parking especially at the airport and hotels. 99.9% restaurants leave it up front. Everybody wants to race you, take pics, tailgate, darn near collide into you while giving you the thumbs up. Stop and hold conversations about it wherever you go. Talked to another owner in my area and he said the same thing!

lvienad is infamous around these parts
Agree 110% about the attention you get in a Panamera. It is annoying. Photos don't do justice. Never liked it til I saw it personally. The lines are absolutely beautiful.
BTW, go buy the car that fits your needs. Don't ask others about your needs. Only you know that.

V6 or V8, nobody has to justify anything. These are great cars. I have driven the V6 and it has plenty of power. It was quicker than I though it would be. I personally prefer the V8 and feel the V8 is much quicker and has more ooomph down low than the V6. That is just my opinion, so no flaming please.....

BTW. To answer the OP's question of what I would do if I had to do it over again? I would bite the bullet and step up to the PTT. What an amazing frickin car....

Haha...why would anyone flame you? The V8 IS more powerful and does have more torque down low.

Its just more expensive, most of us V6's love our value...here in Canada, my V6 AWD costs as much as a 8 cylinder AWD Panny in the USA.

Cars are 20% more expensive here, despite the damn dollar.

Its a value thing, If given a V8 panny i'd take it over the V6 if it cost the same! I don't mind the extra gas of a V8, just the V6 was better value, same status, and roughly same performance.
