I am looking at a recent trade at my dealer. Blk/Blk, sports seats plus some other nice options including PCCB's.
Car has 12,500 miles and CPO. Asking $125K

Any thoughts? They sold and serviced the local one owner car.

Too high. I would figure approx 110k with 12500 miles.

 

that price strikes me as being too high

 

I just checked auction numbers. Seems that auction ranges from 108 - 115k depending on mileage and condition.

 

if you nose around you can get a brand new 2011 for about 12% off.

 

There is quite a bit of price delta between auction and Porsche certified preowned.

1. CPO carries a 60 month warranty from entering service. Worth $2000 (or much more if you experience a major failure)
2. Porsche will put on new tires if worn in excess of about 50%, worth ~$1200
3. CPO vehicles include a complete car service, recalls updated, ready to roll.
4. Dealer will spend about $500 to detail and touchup the small paint defects, mostly road rash to front bumper and door areas
Probably more that others will remember

I think the warranty is the best part of the CPO program!!
