The only time I've had that is if one of the doors isn't fully closed, perhaps it happens if the interior sensor picks up a little movement?

That was for height clearance issue. I park my car at the basement of my house where I can physically touch the ceiling without raising my arm too much, so you can imagine that if you press the button once and the trunk opens all the way up and it smacks the ceiling, then I would be the one writing this "annoyance" to Porsche to tell them to do something about it, LOL.
Porsche discusses this possibility in the owner's manual, hence no auto open to the full up position.
