Automobile Panamera GTS "First Drive"
Basically they call it the best handling sedan by a long shot, but they talk about the sound more than anything else.
"Body roll is freakishly absent, and overall body control is second to no sport sedan and to few sports cars. The big bread box turns in with zero reluctance - almost like a mid-engine car - with predictable overall balance"
"The GTS does, however, address a complaint we didn't even know we had. We've driven other V-8 Panameras, and they sounded just fine - because we were never aware of just how much acoustic fury had been trapped within the engine compartment. For the GTS, Porsche added intake-resonance tubes that carry the V-8's nasal, guttural intake roar right into the cabin and fitted an exhaust that doesn't bother muffling much at all - and certainly not the overrun crackle, snap, and pop that the power train engineers programmed in.
It's the best part of the GTS. Of course, there's a button to witch it all off, but once we were wooed by the rich soundtrack, we couldn't bring ourselves to live without it. It seems Porsche has just carved out another niche customer: that small bunch of one-percenters looking to set off neighboring car alarms in the Jamba Juice parking lot. Pardon us for sounding a little too liberal, but that's a bunch of one-percenters we think we could actually be friends with."

there is a white with the silver seat belts & thread interior; carbom fiber trim and a few more nice options.
these cars are stunning and when they started it up for me.
spouse wants me to can the idea of a red 991 and trade the Cayenne & turbo for the GTS.
don't know if one car will work for me though if anything out there was going to do it, i would think the GTS has no other competition.

I have received a lot of compliments on the sound of the PGTS particularly at startup. The intensity of the growl seems unique in the Panamera range and clearly some extra thought was put into this by the engineers at Porsche. Not surprised at all that the sound would sell a few cars!
