Changing the window trim...what a heck of a job!!!

Hi guys,

I just wanna share some experiences which I've gone through when changing the window trim from Matte black to Chrome.

Ordered the parts from SuncoastParts, the installation is being done by Porsche Workshop in Vietnam. I could not image It already been 2 days and they haven't finish one window. I did not know that they actually had to take out the window glass and all the door interiors to do this job. Here are some pix:

I also got my window trims changed to chrome. That was done by the dealer prior to delivery. I don't think it was such a big job. These trims should just pop in and out.

Hmm...clicking on this thread, I figure people were going to swap chrome for the matte trim.

Personal pref. Usually trim is very hard to swap out, in BMW's you need to remove the mirrors too.

Panamera's mirrors are mounted on the doors, I guess that makes things easier.

When I talked to my dealer they explained how much of a pain in the A$$
it was and kind of pricey. I wne the other direction, from chrome to gloss black.
Gloss black 3M vinyl installed by my clear bra guy = $250.00
