White Panamera GTS Headed to Philly!!!

After spending a day out on the track at the most recent Porsche World Road Show, it was the final thing I needed to convince me to take the Porsche plunge. I am working out the final details with my dealer, but by the end of day tomorrow, I should have placed an order for the following GTS:

Panamera GTS
Exterior Colors
White
Interior Colors
Black Full Leather
Exterior Options
Lower Rear Fascia Painted CNG
ParkAssist, Front and Rear, with Reversing Camera 638
Porsche Entry & Drive 625
Sport Side Skirts Painted XAR
Wheels
20" 911 Turbo II Wheels 418
Wheel Accessories
Wheel Center Set with Full-Color Porsche Crest 446
All-Season Tires for 20-inch Alloy Wheels 234
Interior
Electric Roll-up Sunblind for Rear Side Windows 861
Electric Roll-up Sunblind for Behind Rear Compartment 862
LED extended interior lighting package CEG
Interior Lighting Package for Rear Compartment 630
Lane Change Assist (LCA) 457
14-way Power Seats with Memory Package P80
Seat ventilation, front seats 541
Multi-function steering wheel 844
Heated multi-function steering wheel 345
Audio and Communications
Sirius XM(R) Satellite Radio + HD Radio(R) Receiver 690
Burmester(R) High-End Surround Sound System 682

...And to think I was looking at one of those new BMW 6 Series GrandSports just a few weeks ago! Never did get to drive the new 6 series GS, but after driving the Panamera on the track... it was a no brainer. Can't believe I'm joining the club... I just hope my 4 and 6 year old like the view from the back seat!

The Panny is dangerous, if you drive it, you buy it. Hope it works out for you!

Hey Marc,

Congrats on the purchase! You should consider ceramic brakes. I've got them on my PTT and they are great!
Which dealer in Philly are you using?

Best of Luck!

Congradulations on your new GTS. I ordered the same car and it will be in this coming October! ALso white, only I order the black 20 inch wheels. Other options are about the same. Can't wait- I drove one several weeks ago and they are awesome!!

Congrats - your options list includes most of the "necessities" and some very nice "nice-to-haves" (i.e., Burmester)

Going to be a gorgeous car when you get her!

I demoed the Burmester Stereo a week or so ago and was just blown away. I couldn't believe how loud it was for a stock stereo. I tested via my iPod hooked up directly through USB and playing various high-quality MP3's and Apple Lossless files. I was very impressed. From Metallica to Rihanna, to the Eagle to the Rolling Stones... to Dave Matthews and back to some 80's Metal cuts... I was simply amazed. I knew it would be great for classical music, string instruments, etc.... what I wasn't expecting was how good modern music sounded over the standard Bose system. The highs and Mids are outstanding. In fact, you have to turn the treble down just a touch... the tweeters are that pronounced. A good problem to have though. Ran the system in Centered and everything Flat. No surround presets, etc. Kicked Butt! And great deep Bass! This is going to be the ultimate family mobile!

From reading other Burmester-related threads, I also got the impression it's great for classical music but wasn't sure about the modern. Glad a fellow Metallica listener has seen this first-hand.

The consensus seems to be, to those who have heard the Burmester, it becomes a "must have" rather than a "nice-to-have". That's why I am afraid to go listen to it!

Once I heard the Bermester it was not possible to configure this car without it. The system completely blew my budget, but I couldn't imagine buying a 125k car and not being blown away everyday by the stereo. It's that important for me to have Metallica sound that good... As happy as I was with master of puppets... Listening to Floyd's dark side of the moon was jaw dropping... And the live version of hotel california by the Eagles put chills down my spine. My ears hurt after my 1/2 hour+ listening session... The only negative will be... having to decide between hearing the amazing exhaust or drowning it out because metallica's kill em' all is cranked! Good problems to have... I guess!

great build - since you are doing the outside parts in white as well, which is a good idea imo, why not add the lower mirror paint option as well?

did you try the 18 way seats? i found the 14 way didn't have enough side bolster.

Cpa4S,

I wanted to keep some of the GTS's contrast paint scheme. That's why I kept the front grill, rear diffuser, and lower mirror section black. I like the sport sidesills and chose to get those painted as I think it adds to the drop and aerodynamic look of the car. Hard to go wrong either way....

I tried both seats and it was a toss up. The alcantera was definitely not an option I liked. In the end went for the 14 way, which just seemed more condusive to accomodating two rear seat child booster seats...

Hopefully will be here in October...
