PTT exhaust

Does anyone know if an after market exhaust will give me the downshift blips you get in the GTS? I have the sport exhaust but it is way to quite. I recently drove a 2009 Maserati Granturismo with the F1 transmission , the shifting feel and exhaust note on that car was amazing. Even better then the PGTS in my
opinion. I am even thinking about picking one of these up.

Thank you. That sounds great. So you get the downshift blips with that exhaust?

yea, but wierdly the down blips arent that loud. the loud part is if i accelerate between 2-3000 RPM, and use the tiptronic to UPshift, i knw its wierd to UP shift but the moment i change gear the sound hits peak level (super loud especially in closed areas) then it dies down, then accelerate again and do the same. i did it in a closed parking structure in century city mall, and OMG everyone almost went deaf, including me hahaha.

speaking as a maser gts owner, I can assure you that other than the sound and the ability to attract unwanted attention, it would be much wiser to keep your gts . the maser's ride is much harder, and the worst thing is getting out of the car... the door is WIDEEE

I suggest IPE full exhaust system if you want the sound of demon but it is harder to achieve for a turbo car it won't sound as loud as a pure V8 like the GTS or the effect it gives.

I know its been a while but if you still have the car I would suggest catless downpipes and X-pipe. You should achieve some "blip" or back pressure noise. Is your car a turbo? Where in MI are you?
