burning smell

Hi guys,
In past couple of days, i begin to smell an odd burning smell, like a burning clutch smell. I drive the car gently but the smell is still there.
Perhaps this is because i just began to use the heater as the weather is getting cold.
I checked oil level and there are no warning messages.
Is this normal?

It's a porsche. They all smell like that. The 997's had some coating in the engine bay that stunk. Car never leaked a thing. Panamera heated seats and heater can cause. The night I took receipt of mine, the tires were brand new. They stunk, not like new tires, but burnt. After driving her for a day, the smell went away. Don't be worried about different smells. It's a Porsche. CPU and gauges will tell u everything you new to know. Car has more sensors than almost anything out there. If u see message on your dash, it's almost always legit. Enjoy and embrace that pcar smell.

Ok, to get serious: Check under your car that there is no plastic stuck to your exhaust (had this happen to me once in another car), also check that there is no more brake dust on on wheel than others (brake stuck), also check there is no animal in your engine bay, the possibilities are endless...

vigoureux is infamous around these parts
Just like kip said above, it can be a plastic shopping bag. It happened to me too. I had to car flat bad towed to the dealership bc of the smell. As they were putting it on the tow truck I noticed the white bag stuck on the X-pipe in the middle of the exhaust.
