What Octane gas are you guys running in your V6 Panamera? Hard to believe this car need premium gas with 91 octane.

Where's your manners? You have no idea who I am and btw far from cheap. Hold your opinion if you don't have anything smart to offer. This is a V6 motor. Every motor is tuned to a certain octane. The manual actually says 93 octane so that tells me nothing. Premium in California is 91. I question if the manual was even written/updated for the V6 version of the car? I am asking this question to other V6 owners of the car to see what octane you are running?

It's basically the same engine as the V8 but with two less cylinders, how does that make it any less sensitive to low octane? I'd agree with rzundel, why would you want to use cheap gas in the Panamera? Sounds like you've read the manual, my advice would be stick to it.

91 would probably be ok but for the small difference in price 93 is probably a better bet. I have just used 93 in the porsches I've had/have (cayman s, boxster s, cayenne).

A friend uses a mix of 91/93 in his cayenne fwiw.

when I had my v6 panamera, I used regular unleaded and never had an issue. I have a couple of friends that have a degree in fluid engineering and they both stated that there is no issue with using regular vs 91 or higher and both use it in their range rover sc_hse.

I also have a mercedes s550 and when I put regular in the the engine light would come on. So 93 or higher in that car . . . . .

try it and see if it makes a difference . . . .

I also noticed that when using 93 or greater, I did get better gas mileage.

This is more important in turbo engines were lower octane gas tends to combust prematurely. I always use highest octane available for the longevity of the engine.

.

I'm not even sure where you get 93 octane gas here in Southern California? The highest I've seen is 91.
