Yellow or black calipers?
You raise a real interesting question that was also raised earlier. In addition to the Panamera I also own a Ferrari and Maserati and the last thing someone would think is you are a poser because of the color of your calipers. Is this really what p-car guys think? I am looking to have my calipers repainted professionally (not a spray can) simply because I like the look of the big brakes showing through the wheels. I have this on my other cars mentioned above and simply like the look. Why Porsche choses to paint their big brake calipers black surprises me. I am looking to have these painted either porsche red or yellow so it's not like like am doing some odd one off color. That to me is poser. I have owned other Porsche (non-turbo) and the car came standard with red calipers. Is this color designation something unique to the Panamera?
Im not sure you understand the conscept of poser .. Poser means you are pretending to have something you don't,,, So in Porsche world you would be pretending to have the carbon ceramic breaks that are a 10K+ option and they come in yellow.. So you painting your mighty V6 calipers, you are pretending to have the Turbo S Carbon Ceramic breaks .. which you do not.. and therefore your a poser..
ps the constant mentino of your vast wealth and owning many exotics also leads me to beleave your a poser...
PPS having your calipers painted?? is big no no .. if your gonna spend the money have them Powder coated .. and 1k for 4 calipers your getting raped...
Arrives in Jan, then it will be pics galore!! Lots of cools stuff to show you guys when it gets here,
Sport Design package, PCCB's, all CF interior with red gauges
ah, soon............

PS, what color are you calipers?
And yes putting items on your car that suggest it is something it's not. Is poser. So yes yellow or red would suggest that you have something you don't. Poser. Just like your garage full of exotics. You suggest that you have something that you do not. Poser. Sorry but that's how I see it. And the way you speak on here is the way that is indicative of posers coming on here trying to show off to actual owners, and typically they get called out and leave.

I ordered the CARMINE RED, blacked out trim, and black grill, with the black sport wheels
the calipers will be YELLOW because of the carbon ceramic brakes
should look pretty good

also the red gauges with the black interior and carbon fiber package, steering wheel and shifter, with red seat belts I hope look good

will post up when it arrives......

Caliper refinish on a Panamera
Hi,
Has anyone has their Panamera calipers refinished? I have a P4 with the unpainted (butt-ugly) calipers and I can barely stand to look at them. I love the "red chrome" finish, or basic Brembo red finished, offered by this shop
http://www.fastforwardwheels.com/
So if I buy my P4 at lease-end, I was going to have the calipers refinished for sure. But I had thought I read somewhere where a Panamera owner was told that Panamera calipers could not be refinished, but there was no explanation why. Anyone know?
Thanks & Merry Xmas.
