Panamera - Any regrets?
Panamera - Any regrets?
Hey everyone,
As I said previously, I'm very interested in the panamera and I am looking at the V6 because of a tight budget. Is it good enough? Anyone have any regrets with the V6? I used "build your own" in the Porsche website and ended up with 20$K in options including, black leather interior/ black wheels/ sport exhaust/ sport design package/ black bixenon/ red clusters and belts. I'm happy with how it looks that way, trying to make it the closest like a GTS and that exhaust should be better than stock without sport exhaust.
Thank you

We have a beautiful mahogany brown metallic V6 that we purchased from dealer inventory and we are completely satisfied with the car. It is handsomely appointed, well equipped and has gotten more stares and comments than all the cars we have owned combined! We are thoroughly delighted with our choice.....good power, decent economy and wonderful handling. In short.....no regrets! Good luck!

I have the V6 loaded panny and very happy with it. Surprised by the power and performance of the V6. I also own a Ferrari and Maserati GT-S so I have an appreciation for performance. In other words, for the difference in cost I have no regret for buying the V6. The only thing I would have done different is something with the exhaust. Standard exhaust is whisper quiet. Not sure how the short exhaust sounds on a V6 but hearing a little engine noise would be nice. For sure get the 20" wheels. I like the Turbo II's the best.

I have had a 4S for 1.5 years; I'm sure the turbo is awesome, but so is my car! No regrets at all. Sounds like with my sport exhaust I have better sound, along with mileage and range too. Also less to go wrong.
I typically keep cars ten years or so; sorta hope next one is a Turbo S. Until then, absolutely no regrets! My car RULES!!!

My 4S is now 2 1/2 years old. Only the S, 4S and Turbo were available the first year. Since then I've driven all models but the hybrid. I need awd for skiing so that limits me to the "4" models and I've never regretted the 4S. If I were shopping for a replacement (not yet - maybe another year) I don't think I'd be looking any further than the GTS.
With that said, I've driven the V6 Panamera 4 repeatedly, and I've been driven in a very spirited fashion (bya couple of PSDS instructors) around a few race tracks in the V6 rwd. That's a very impressive car. Although I find it a bit down on power, the handling feel of the car with the lighter engine is the best of the bunch. I guess my thought is to buy the car with as much power as you can afford - and you won't be unhappy with any of them.

That's way better than me in Viet Nam. I paid 235k for the V6 with standard options
. And my uncle paid 375k for his Turbo
