Hi BOOMER7, would you PM me on where and what kind of deal you got in SoCal? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger as well, thanks!

"Exhaust will add to things a bit, but unless you really need the sound it is an expensive mod for the performance gains you receive in return. There are many good options out there, but don't underestimate the time and money that went into Porsche's engineering of the exhaust system."

This is true but don't underestimate the power of a good exhaust system. One of the reasons that the GTS is such a great ride is the exhaust note. The Turbo is lacking in this area. The stock Turbo's 700cell cats are a major obstruction. Going with the previously mentioned Fabspeed downpipes with the 200 cell sport cats really open it up. Combined with the resonator delete with xpipe while keeping your stock mufflers to retain the sport switch and will give you a stock look with significantly better exhaust sound. This combo is not too loud but a major improvement over stock and will also remove a major obstruction in the exhaust flow and enable your tune to be more optimized-more power. True, not inexpensive(<$4k) but in my opinion, worth it on the PT/PTS.

Nelson I am working in Kearny Mesa now and driving the PTT down M-Th. every week. Maybe we can get lunch one day and you can show me your set up. Exhaust is definately the next step and no question 200 cell cats will really reduce back pressure in the exhaust system!

I will PM you my contact information

The downpipes make a biggest difference. Cat-back won't make anywhere near the difference the downpipes will. Don't confuse the exhaust with downpipe upgrades. You won't get noticeable gains with just a cat-back exhaust because the cats themselves are the restriction. I have the stock exhaust with Fabspeed downpipes and I'm more than pleased. Best part is, just the downpipes

Haha. I had replied on my iphone and somehow I missed your post. But yes, definitely worth saying twice and from personal experience. I LOVE how my PTT sounds with just the Fabspeed downpipes.

Do the downpipes require cutting the factory exhaust? Or are they bolt in?
