Smile '14 Surround view camera system

hi all there with '14 panamera in their garage!
Due to introduction of Surround view on '14 panamera models can someone put an image of that system here (image on monitor)? appreciate in advance.
also please write your judgment of its visibility on 7" monitor and if switching between individual camera's is possible or not?
thanks all

I saw this feature on the demo my dealership had.

It looks almost identical to the one I had on my 2011 550 and the surround view on the 7's.

There are a number of options along the right side of the screen to swap to full screen and multiple views - the one shown is the default view.

That looks like a very nice upgrade to the rear view camera mode!

Do you know if this is this available yet as an upgrade to previous year Panameras? (i.e. upgrade the PCM) Also, do you happen to know if there is there any additional hardware needed? You wouldn't happen by chance to have the code/name from your window sticker for it?

I see no way you could retro fit it - there are cameras in the mirrors and front grill - it is a nice feature but at the end of the day a rear view camera is all that is needed.

I really do not see why you could not just replace the side view mirrors, add a front camera, and then update the PCM, but you could be right. I just checked Suncoast and did not see any options (did not even see the rear backup camera either!) listed as an option under either Electronics or Exterior Accessories.

I wouldn't even think of it - it really isn't that useful. It's neat but I only look at the rear camera anyways.

This is a neat option, we were just playing with it. The overhead display looks funny when you open the doors. HAHA No retrofits available for this one, you would have to order your Paney with it.

Of course Porsche will not make the surround camera retrofittable. They want you to replace your car. This is how the business world operates.

Here are a bunch of different view options - I parked in a parking spot so you can use the yellow lines as a reference for lateral viewing.

- this view will make you barf if you move

In reality, I'm sure it could be done, but would probably cost more than trading up when you factor in the cost of the mirrors, cameras, wiring harnesses, PCM, and labor. My guess would be well over $20k to retrofit.
