My 2014 GTS has the factor 19 inch wheels. I'm considering an upgrade to forged wheels if the weight reduction is significant enough. Does anyone know the weight of the factory wheels?
Word to the wise, get the PCCB option. I didn't and regretting it now. The unsprung weight on this car is high. Would be nice if there was an option for lighter rotors of the same diameter for non-track (light duty applications.

 

I found weight information for the tires at tirerack. So just need to remove a wheel/tire from the car and weigh it. Will do it this weekend.

The weights are as follows:
Front: wheel + tire = 54lbs, Tire = 27lbs, Wheel = 27 (calculated)
Rear: wheel + tire = 60lbs, Tire = 30, Wheel = 30 (calculated)


The tires are Continentals, all seasons with about 200 miles.

 

The weights are for 19". Wanted to know the penalty for going to 20". Would have to go with forged wheels to keep a similar weight I believe.
