Water not draining by gas tank filler neck

Water is not draining from the area around the gas filler neck. I have tried blowing compressed air in the hole. I was able to insert picture wire down the hole about one foot before it stops. I can't find where the water drains out of the car to the ground so I can check for a clog there. Can someone please tell me where the drain hole is underneath the car or another solutions for standing water not draining from the gas cap area. Thanks

I had the same problem on my 2010 and I can't tell you exactly where it drains, but the dealer replaced mine under warranty

Thumbs up

Interesting, I noticed this one time after I got my Panny washed and then stopped to fill up for gas. I just thought it was due to it just being washed. I took a paper towel and dried it up. Since I live in Cali, and we never get rain I haven't noticed this before or after. Looks like I'll keep an eye on this because I'm still under warranty. Thanks for the info.

Never heard of one catching fire, would think there would be other types of recalls first

Solved

I blew air using a compressor and it cleared the drain. Tested with some water and all good.

Probably not a huge concern, but more of annoyance.
If I remember correctly, I poked a hard wire in the whole to unclog it. I also may have blew compressed air.
It unclogged and is back to normal.

The tube runs behind the wheel arch liner and exits near the air suspension strut.
You need to remove the liner to get to it. Not difficult at all.

You're going to want something more flexible - a thinner wire. You want it to follow any curves of the tube and any clog should be pretty soft mold or gunk.

A better choice of "wire" to unplug a line is "nylon" weed-wacker-type cord.
