vibrations after exhaust installation

I have a question for you guys... I just got my Meisterschaft GTS exhaust installed.

after the installation of the exhaust I'm getting a lot of vibration on the rear of the car it seems like the hatch rattles a lot down to the point that I can hear the glass of the hatch rattling due to exhaust vibrations. The weird thing is that it only happens when I'm at a dead stop.. when im driving it goes away completly. Have you guys ever had that issue before or what can you recommend me to look into to see if I can get that fixed?

Take it back to the installers and drive with them so they can hear exactly what your experiencing.

yeah that is what Im doing tomorrow morning... I was just checking to see if anyone has had this issue, so that when I go there tomorrow I can tell them to look for something specific...

Im going to assume that one of the brackets has to be touching the underbody.

There is no silencers on that exhaust right??? Cause from my old car that had HKS on it, I put on silencers to take off exhaust drone. Once in a while the screws for the silencers would get loose and vibrate when at a stop.

Definitely sounds like something is loose under there. Or something shifted and its hitting something else.

Have you checked to see if any of those heat shields are banging into the exhaust.

they found today that some bolt where the exhaust mounted to the bumper support was somewhat loose and causing the exhaust vibrations to go throught it... so they tighting it. When I drove off I notice a big difference the vibrations when I came to a stop where much less.... but then after a 2-3 miles I came to a red light and felt the vibrations again a bit. So I wonder if its something else too.

I was thinking that it could be one of the heat shields too.. I guess Im going to have to make one more visit to the shop again to see if they notice anything else touching the underbody...

Heck I would insist on the shop that installed it to ensure they fix it, the car didn't go to them with that noise occurring nor was the exhaust designed to do that after install. You paid money for it

got it fixed this morning... it was a simple thing. The heat shield that works as diffuser on our car under the exhaust was touching the exhaust pipe in small corner. Once they adjusted and it didn't touch the vibration went away!!

LMAO, I knew it was the heat shield. Like I mentioned on previous post. that happened on my old RX7. Good to know you fixed the issue.
