Is this sound normal?

Hello,
I just purchased a 2010 PTT with 23k miles on it. I purchased it from a mercedes benz dealer. I noticed that it has this high pitched sound that seems to be loudest from the right side of the car, maybe near the wheel well. I brought it to the Porsche dealer and they replaced the PDCC pump. They are trying to tell me that this is just the sound of the pump and that this is normal. The thing is, I drove another 2010 PTT for 4 days. It did not make this sound. It was similarly equipped with PDCC. I decided not to buy it because it had been in an accident.

Is this normal?

Thank you in advance for your response!

That is an unusual sound. It almost sounds like your car is "sick" with a cold or something. Interesting they think it's PDCC with it being in park. Sounds more engine like, maybe even a bad turbo (I'm no mechanic, just my opinion).

sounds like a leak somewhere, exhaust pipes or more closer to the engine.

They have checked the turbos. Does anyone have a PTT with a similar sound? It just bugs me when they try to tell me that this is how it normally sounds. I sent this video file to the dealer and they are going to send it to Germany.

They are defo not being honest. Go back to the dealership and cause RUKUS.

I wouldn't drive my PTT if it was making that sound

Could someone with a PTT with PDCC please post a video with audio of your car revving like mine? I received an email from the porsche dealer that this is a normal sound for this car. I challenged him to send me a recording of a similar car making this sound. I doubt he will be able to.

Very frustrated!!

Does this happen when cold or at working temps.

My car does that sound when cold and nowhere that loud, mine is extremely faint compared to that.

It reminds me of power steering pump, back in my muscle car days, and it's the same as my Ford Lightning's supercharger.

If it actually sounded like that normally (which it does not sound like that) it would be pretty cool.

This happens when the car is cold. It reminds me of a supercharger sound as well.

Man - I worry about picking up a pre-owened Panamera from 2010. I've read a few posts on strange noise issues.
