about to order a y pipe for the turbo

?
Looking between carbon Fibre ap pipe or the fab speed
Saw on amazon ap pipe is a little more than the fab.
My question to those who have one or just advice
Wouldn't the carbon pipe be better since it's 3 inch instead of 2.5? And wouldn't carbon not get as hot as metal. Thanks guys

Pbread is infamous around these parts
Just ordered this in the carbon fiber flavor as well... I was reading there were early issues with it causing the check eng light to come on (but this seemed to be right when this was first available)... hopefully no issues here - will post back findings.

What other mods do you plan ?

The maximum you can go is 720 hp from fvd !
With turbo upgrade , 200 cell downpipes , ecu remap and turboS intake manifold but you dont need it since you have 3inch ypipe and hp is limited in pdk

If you just want bolt ons I suggest agency diverter valve, resonator deleted(xpipe) and ecu flash ..

Why up to 720 hp? Gemballa has tuned the PT970 to 744hp with limiting the torque to 701 to satisfy pdk... I'm working on a build where I'm hopeful I can be close to these numbers.

Yes you are right but 720 I wrote is jusf a number I memorized with fvd turbos you can go as much as you want .
There is a thread here with a fvd tuned panamera which goes in limp mode . He made 750+ hp and he want back to fvd to limit the torque .

Those gambella numbers are an inspiration

Yea would be awesome to get over 700. We shall see. I've got the 3 in y pipe on order as well as fabspeed cat down pipes. Bmc filter. I took my awe X pipe and exhaust off my 4s before I traded it. Will use X pipe and see how loud it is then decide on the mufflers too. Looked at divertes will do that soon. And after all is installed. Ecu remap will be last. I've seen the turbo upgrades but that will be down the road. Keep me up with your builds. Exciting

Downpipes and X-pipe with stock mufflers is a great setup.

I tried this - was much improved but I wanted more... Added the Meisterchaft GTC (axel back) to the fabspeed headers/downpipes and Xpipe and am loving it!!

Yes, I'm certainly inspired! Seriously considering the fvd turbos in my next phase (post completing my intake / downpipes / exhaust stage) but the pdk issues you bring up are discouraging... Any solution to reinforcing the pdk? I'd really like to see 750hp+ numbers translating into high 6 sec 60-130 and 10 sec 1/4 numbers on my PTT

As you mentioned torque will kill the pdk so if you limit it at 900nm you will be fine. The problem with pdk is that its sealed from factory and can not open it. The only pdk reinforcement I know is speedart clutches witch can support 30% better heat so more torque , but thats only for 997.2
720-750 is enough for
0-62 3.1 3.3 and 0-124 9. Or 9.6 that means 60-130 in high 6s .. I guess with a tcu tune , lightweight wheels with toyo you can archive a lot and hunt supercars in the highway with the confidence that you will kill then all lol

Also I forgot to mention that if you buy directyl stage 4 from fvd it will be a couple of thousent of dollar less than buying them separate .

Hey Benblack - sounds like an awesome build... I have a similar in progress. Here is my build/plan:

Initial Phase (mostly complete):
3" Y-pipe intake (on order - still need to install) / BMC air filter
Fabspeed downpipes (200 cell cats) & Fabspeed XPipe/res delete
Meisterschaft GTC Axel back exhaust
ADV1 mv1 Superlight wheels / titanium lug bolts

Planning Next Phase:
Agency Power Diverter Valve (ordered)
Upgraded FVD Turbos (??)
Custom ECU tune
