Keep Pan or get Rapide, advice needed

Hi Guys,

The lease on my 2011 Pan 4s Blk/BLK is up in August, the car has 13k miles, 118k msrp + upgrades. The buyout price is about 65k.

Options:
Sports design bodykit
Carbon fiber interior plus heated carbon steering wheel
Turbo IIs
Heated and Vent front and back seats
Sports Chrono
Air Suspension
Bose/Backup Camera
Keyless entry
Window Curtains

Upgrades;
OEM black headlights
Blacked up window trim, door handles, headlight washers, Emblems, Exhausts
Clear turns signals
Smoked taillights
Painted silver splitter
Painted yellow calipers
V1 hardwired
Spacers

The car is well taken care of and she's a beauty. For 65k and 13k miles, I can't think of a better car.

Then I saw a certified 2010 Aston Rapide, Black with Beige interior. 21k miles @ 120k asking price. The craftmanship is amazing and that sound..

I know it might be slightly slower, doesnt have all wheel drive and less roomie. But I am very tempted...

Hope to hear some opinions from my trusted fellow members to help me with my decision.

Thanks in advance!

All Astons are features lacking. After the novelty effect wears off, you will be left with a boring car.

My R8GT has many features lacking and frankly speaking I wish I could drive it every single day - the sound, the rush, the feeling. I tend to disagree with the bells and whistles theory - my M5 has all of them and its one boring car unless its going fast. I am selling my M5 and considering the Rapide or the Panamera GTS - hopefully testing them soon.

love the Aston Vanquish and DB9 but not feeling the rapide. plus a 6 ltr V12 just to make 550, rather stick with the Panny Turbo S with 570hp/553trq

I love the Rapide - if you can live with the goofy ergonomics and the useless backseat I would get one. It is a great looking car and sounds great.

I really need a backseat for my kids and that car was just too tough in the backseat. I was offered a 2012 new from the dealer for 160k in September before I got my 2014 PTT - look around - there are some great deals on the Rapide's

I bet though I get one as my next car - it was beautiful.

65k isn't a bad price for that. You wouldn't be out much if you kept it and decided to sell later. You don't see as many Astons on the road if your in to having a unique/rare car.

On paper, the 65K is a great deal, especially with only 13K miles. Would even make sense to buy the car from pfs and sell it on your own and there could be a possibility of some net gains. Could you post pics of the car?

If I were you I would keep the car, because the replacement cost is way more than 65K. You can check out the prices that the dealers are selling these cars for. I haven't driven the Aston, but it would hard for me to imagine the Aston handling any better than what you got. Go for what excites you within your budget and even if you blow the budget today, don't sweat it, just go make some more tomorrow.

I don't know much about the Aston except that servicing issues are likely to be more frequent and costly (time and $$$$). But looks like u can pull it off since you don't put down too many miles on your car.

In your shoes I would keep the Pcar and do a nice pricey exhaust mod to get closer to the Rapide rumble & grumble.

You drove the car 13k miles in three years. Why would you want to put out that much additional money for so little use. Keep the car you have. The Raptide is not as nice a drivers car.
