FabSpeed Exhaust

I've decided to keep the 13' Panny 4 Platinum Edition and upgrade the exhaust system. I'll purchase an 09' Cayman S for weekend thrills!!!

Considering a Fabspeed Maxflo Muffler, X-Pipe Bypass with Fabspeed Comp Intake.

Is this the best setup for a Panny 4 or should I consider an alternate exhaust system?

Fabspeed is great. Check out their downpipes (200 cell cats) as well (not sure exactly what is offered on non-TT).

Other names to check out:

Capristo, Meisterschaft, Akrapovic

Are you looking for performance gain or sound? I figure a little bit performance because you cant get much sound out of a v6. I dont think spending so much money on fabspeed exhaust on a regular v6 engine is worth such a high price tag of exhaust. You can do a resonator delete at any exhaust shop for dirt $. Sound improvement and better flow. You wont get much gain in HP for the price. Just my .02 cents.

Both Fabspeed and AWE are in my backyard so to speak and over the years I have used both of their products. In fact the 997 has Fabspeed the Panamera has AWE (my car is the one in the video on their website). I have never heard the Fabspeed for the Panamera but Joe is a good guy (I have know him since he started out) and they stand behind their products.

Your thoughts on the sound difference between the two?

The 997 is a custom built car (engine does not have many stock parts) and supercharged, and the Panamera is a V8 so hard to compare.

Does the fabspeed add a lot of noise to the cabin while driving on highway?
