Valentine install

I just hard wired my Valentine and it was the easiest cleanest DIY I've done. I bought the SAVVY from Valentine, it's an adapter that plugs into the OBD port. Ran the wire up the door seal and around A pillar, along head liner and plugged it in. Simple clean and easy no splicing wires, no jumping fuses....works great and also has a speed mute switch you can set which allows alerts below your set threshold to be muted.....I.e. Set it to 35mph and it auto silences it under 35.

Can you post a picture of the port connection and that Savvy piece? Curious how that looks.

I find segmented Beltronics STiR+ and Escort Redline having much superior detection distance than V1. I run a MAX because its much more helpful in the city with its GPS capability

Check the picture attached for some references

To me identifying the threat is only 50% of the task....knowing where the threat is coming from is the key.....once you've driven with arrows the rest is just beeps

Mav - make sure you set up custom sweeps

S0: 33.768-33.900 (wide, default, always engaged)
S1: 34.681-34.740 (tight, center weighted)
S2: 35.482-35.541 (tight, center weighted)
S3: 33.782-33.841 (tight, center weighted)
S4: 35.394-35.600 (wide)
S5: 34.774-34.804 (wide)
S6: 34.593-34.770 (wide)

The idea with these sweeps is that I am weighting towards guns closer to their spec'd centers of 33.8, 34.7, 35.5

Misc Options:

Self mute logic: ON
Time Period: 3
No muting above 3 on first alert: ON
Unmute above 5: ON
K Rear Mute: ON
Out of box muting out 100mhz centers on Ka: ON
Traffic Monitor Filter: ON (to filter out obnoxious K-band Audi-like systems for those requiring K reception).
Other bands ON (as required for area), except Ku.
