Hi all, just taken delivery of a 3-year old Panamera turbo. Very impressed with the car so far. Feels so well made and rattle-free. Ride is superb as is handling and steering. Interior is beautiful.
My only one gripe is that the exhaust is just too quiet. That 4.8L V8 is really muffled which is a shame. I have the sports exhaust but even with the flaps open, it is still too quiet.
I know there are a variety of exhausts out there but I really like the look of the stock back box. Is there any replacement pipe for the central silencers/cats which I can install to keep the car looking stock? I am not really into changing downpipes either, I just want more noise but ideally no drone on motorway trips. Any suggestions?
Excuse the poor quality pics:

yes you can buy the fabspeed xpipe which replaces the center resonator , kind of gt-r ypipe .

Thanks guys. Yes it is my first Porsche and kind of wondering why I waited so long! Sports front and rear apron are nice. Was a really highly specced car when new. Even has rear seat DVD entertainment system which my kids love.
Re: the fabspeed x-pipe, it seems fairly steeply priced for what you actually get but I'm sure it is great quality. Ideally I want to retain the open/close valve system that I now have with the Porsche sports exhaust. Are the valves situated in the centre resonator section which the X-pipe replaces?
Downpipes may be an option but if going down that route, I suppose better to go the whole hog and replace the entire exhaust and remap accordingly. I suspect then I would lose all warranty with the Porsche centre. Do you have to drop the engine to fit downpipes?

Thanks XLR and Panny4S. Useful to know. I believe a local (UK based) exhaust manufacturer that makes a valved system is Miltek.
Really interesting that the tuning scene on Pannys isn't as large in the UK as it is stateside. Plenty of options for 911s though. There is a company called DMS which provides remaps and a claim of 600bhp+ purely from this. They have a great reputation. I suspect it must involve some sort of air intake change and exhaust though.

I did fabspeed downpipes and xpipe connected to factory sport exhaust - definitely increases sound and I still retain the button at the center (though I run it with valves open always). there are some you tube videos available that will allow you to hear this setup
Nice looking combo. Congrats.
I would first take out the resonator and install an X pipe in the place of resonator. Check how it sounds and if you like it. It will be the cheapest option. If you still dont like it, change the mufflers.

Thanks. When I switch the resonator to X-pipe, will the car need a remap to run safely and to get the most out of reduced restriction? Usually in other cars I have had, that is the case. Are any owners just changing X-pipe/exhaust without remaps? Is that safe?

Two great looking rides. Is this your first Porsche?
