Gents - I just installed the Fabspeed DP's on my '14 PTT at 1K miles. HOLY SMOKES!!! These things are fantastic, hands down the best mod I've ever done. It almost completely eliminates turbo lag and the car sounds fantastic!

It totally opens up the PSE like a Mother! I would say that the sound is a good bit deeper and about 25% to 30% louder, yet not obnoxious!

Throttle response is fantastic. Before at moderate throttle in sport mode, I was at about .2 to .3 bars, now at moderate throttle it will spool up to .7 bars without a blink. I'm going to try and do some sound clips tomorrow.

I had them done at Fabspeed and those guys are meticulous surgeons...premium product and premium service!

Big Props to Fabspeed for a fantastic product!

You know it! I've got the tune on my horizon. I want to run the DPs solo for another month or so. The guys from Fabspeed have a new tune that I'll probably put on.

CATS or no? Congrats! This is one of the best things to do to a PTT.

 

With Cats, I've got the high performance HKS cats. I think that's what Fabspeed uses.

Yup, if you think the DP's are good, wait til you add a good ecu tune. You'll be all smiles then..... The two best performance mods you can have on a PTT.

More than likely yes (but I'll let Gel comment)... Fabspeed has two options for DP's - one with 200 cell / sport cats and the others without cats.

 

Pbread, you mentioned in an earlier post 'welcome to the DP club, I assume you have them. Which brand did you choose, w/ cats? Are you happy with them?

This video shows black smoke, not a fan of that, just want to figure out if this is what I can expect.

 

I believe bread is running the fab speed ones with cats like I am. Almost no lag growles and torque is increased a little. But after we pit on the upgraded turbos he and I have build they will really make a difference

 

I've got the fabspeed sportcat version. Yes, very happy with them... Here is what they sound like when combined with with the meister axel back exhaust:


As far as the black smoke, the PTT burns a lot of oil so always going to get that on a fresh startup / full rev... The sport cats should allow you to pass emissions- if you don't care about that just go catless option.

After exhaust I will do a tune, then we'll see. I prefer to upgrade step at a time so I can feel the difference with every step.
