2014 PTT - how much to offer?

I'm looking at a basalt black New PTT that's been sitting in the showroom since at least Feb. 2015's are coming out shortly. It's listed at 159k but now price dropped to 151k. It has PDCC, CF interior, gloss black ext, sport exhaust, very well equipped. I'm thinking they should come down more on this. Thoughts?

If the sticker is 151k you can pick that up for at least 135k. Dont pay any more since its a 2014. I have seen even better deals around 125-130k when the sticker was around $155. It all depends how you hussle.

I think the sticker is $159K and, according to the OP, the dealer has dropped their ask to $151K. I'm not certain that a deal can be had on a `14 PTT for as low as $130K but, like they say, it never hurts to ask.

The car has roughly 13% mark up - so $20,670 in profit for dealer +/-. I looked at a new PTT in 2012 (it was a 2011) - $162k MSRP - Dealer was offering $15k off, I ordered 2012 instead at 10% off MSRP. They sold that car to another member at $25k off a few months later.

Just depends on how bad the dealer wants it gone. But no question if its been sitting and they have inventory most dealers would drop well below $151k to move the car.

Best of luck striking a deal you like.

MY15's are on dealer lots already.

I should have waited for a 15, but my negotiated deal on the in-stock PSeH back in June was for a good bit better than 10% off. And the dealer included some other sweeteners, too. This was a unit that was backed off the truck and into my hands. No lot rot.

I'd drive a really hard bargain if that's the unit you want.

I would offer 20% off MSRP. 15% would be my target and that should be easily do able.

I think you're right in target and that's what I'll shoot for. Thanks everyone. The sales guys aren't my favorite but we'll see what happens.

Keep in mind that its not easy for dealers to sell high sticker car so they should be on your side. They sell a lot more regular pannys than a turbos. They should not play hardball.

Well it's been almost a month and the car is still there. I drove a similarly equipped 2015 there on Sat and will offer them 139k for the 2014.

I have been in Panamera's for five years and I was just bored. Show me guy married to a supermodel and I'll show you a guy tired of sleeping with one......

The PTT was by far the absolute best 4 door car available on the market as a daily driver - my kids and I loved it. But I was just bored - so I bought a Fisker. Like driving a U-boat compared to the PTT.

As for the PTT vs the GTS - there is no substitute for HP no matter what anyone here says. Buy the most you can afford and enjoy it.

Roger that, I've been in 911's for 5 years, probably same story. GTS fits my budget better but it will come down to the wire.
