Your car is ugly!
Used to think Panamera was ugly, but now that we have one it has grown on me. Definitely needs spoiler extended to make the lines of the car better and larger wheels help the look a lot on this car.
It's function over form - the R7 looks better, but i dont want to be the person in the rear seats.
Although the Quattroporte looks nice, i really like the GT looks...but the back seats are no bargin

Every time I read some Panamera-related article on the web, every time, in the comments there are at least half a dozen comments on how ugly the car is. Web comments are of course the dregs of humanity, but it still frustrating feeling all this negativity towards the car.
Journalists aren't any better this regard.
Really? A steeper slope in back is all it takes to go from "beautiful profile" to "hunchback?" Because frankly, the cars are very similar in profile to my eye. I prefer the Panamera's front end to the Aston Martin's, but they're very similar in overall shape.
It's true it's not as visually appealing as the Cayman S. I just don't understand where the vitriol comes from.

not ugly
I have a black SeH with a Caractere Exclusive body kit and a Techart Grand GT spoiler, I think it is a beautiful vehicle and so do my 6 and 10 year old boys, who can get in and out through their own doors.
There are always going to be haters but there is no denying the panamera is a stunning car... especially a modified one done right.
I'll chime in as a panamera owner... Hrmm - are we talking about the same car here?
Below is a link to my panamera turbo on Instagram that some third party took pic and posted from the caffeine and exotics car show in Atlanta...
The pic has 30,000 likes and over 100 comments with only one comment being negative. Amazing that a car with so many comments and likes could be considered "ugly".
Every time I take my panamera out I get compliments and thumbs ups. I've had people hang out their window air pumping as they drive by me on the highway (to the point where it startles me). My wife can't drive the car without tremendous attention and people trying to talk to her at stop lights.
A neighbor recently traded in his 911 for a black panamera and told me the other day that he gets a lot more compliments on the pani vs his 911.
I think this a lot of this hate comes from a lasting outrage that porsche released a sedan / 4 door and/or the absolutely horrific stock photos that are taken of the car on 19" wheels and no air suspension that most websites and articles use.... That's IMO about 95% of it - 5% is the 3/4 rear or side view "rear hump" that I could see the need for being refined somewhat.
I'll also give you that the car just isn't very photogenic esp in stock form. However in person - It's got great uniqueness and quite a dramatic presence (where typically just can't be captured in photos for some reason).
Agree that darker colors on the panamera are best and the car absolutely needs at least 21" (22" perfect however IMO) wheels to look correctly proportioned with 3/4"-1" lowering adjustment to the lowest air suspension height for correct stance.
Combine this with an aftermarket exhaust for one of the best sounding cars out there and that incredible fit and finish of the interior and speed that will take your passengers breath away (yes, I've had 1st time passengers tell me that)... It's quite a vehicle.

At the end of the day it's subjective... Do what you like and drive it ...like really drive it... Part of the hate comes from the guy whose doors you just blew off or the other guy who can't even consider buying one... New or used! Since you own it... Own it... Who cares what the fans and haters say?
I don't think they look great in picture but in person I give them two thumbs up. Especially if they are lowered with nice wheels.
I think most people that are giving them negative reviews are just looking at pictures.

Concur that without 20" wheels it can look a little awkward. With 20's and air susp look out!!
I'm sure that the vast majority of people who leave web comments, though, have never seen one.
+1, I don't like A7\S7 and CLS's rear end design.

They definitely drive better than they look and it's what sold me on my PT. I love mine. Be sure to spec properly(pdcc, sport chrono, pse, sport trim, burmester, black out package in dark color) and with the right mods(downpipes with sport cats, ECU). Makes a big difference.

LOVELY Pan... What wheels are those? Are they 22s?... Since you likely lowered it what suspension set up? Thinking about one and yours is a looker! Let me add my two cents... The Pan grew on me.... It needs personalization to be hot.... But so do all the others with rare exception... A stock S Class isn't pretty and the other two it gets compared to the most the Rapide and the A7 despite what the auto journalist write... aren't pretty. The Rapide reminds me of the Nissan 280ZX 2+2... The ZX coupe was nice but when they added that back seat it made it look goofy... DB9 beautiful....stretched DB9...Needs aftermarket products. Have you seen a base A7?...YUK! Maserati's two new sedans aren't 360 degrees beauties either. At the end of the day it's subjective... Do what you like and drive it ...like really drive it...
