911 Carrera 4S to a Panamera Turbo S

I've had 911's the last 6 years; S, Carrera GTS, and my current 2013 991 4S. Loved them all. I'm about to take the plunge (got a deal I couldn't pass up) on a 2014 Panamera Turbo S. It's supposed to show up at the end of the week. I know this has been discussed before, but how much buyers remorse can I expect? Have I upgraded, downgraded, or lateral move?? BTW, I have 4 boys who are still young but growing rapidly!

Sounds like a little more of an upgrade than anything. You've got a faster car with more luxury and your boys legs can fit nicely while riding in the back seats - and keeps you in a p-car. Sounds like a win to me.

I would say it depends on how you drive and what type of feel you want from a car. While I agree the Panamera will be faster it is a different type of car and with my girlfriend's younger daughter and my twins both Porsches spend their time in the garage when we all go out. Not sure how young your kids are but my boys least favorite car is the Panamera, they sit too low to see out the windows and that bothers them.

I have to agree with Pbread. I see nothing but upgrade going from a 991 4s to a spanking new PTTS.
And with 4 boys you can't expect to drive a coupe for too long.

What are the specs of the PTTS?

Congratulations Oscar. I think you made a good move, especially since you need the room with the boys. Enjoy and post up some pictures when it arrives.

If you have 4 kids - you probably should consider a cayenne or something altogether different. With the 4 place seating in the panamera you won't even be able to fit them all in there minus your significant other.

Flat 6 in the rear, V8 in the front... nothing replaces a 911. But when life happens & kids grow its a fantastic vehicle. I went 911S to PTT, no regrets.
