I have a 2015 Panamera GTS ordered. I was supposed to pick it up from the dealer tomorrow (10/10) but found out its been held up in German customs since 9/7/14 for "quality control inspection". The dealer stated this is only the second time this has happened to them. The new date of arrival to the dealer is now 10/31/14; very disappointed since we wanted it for our daughter's wedding next week. In any case, anyone know what is involved with this at customs and what do they do to the car? Thanks for any info.

 

They're probably just dismantling it piece by piece looking for drugs.....

 

OP, you don't offer your location. Are you in Europe, the US, where?

My Panamera took about four weeks to make it from the port in RI to the selling dealing in KY.

And a no point in time was the dealer ever able to provide reliable data as to when it would be ready for delivery. Absolute failure by Porsche and their logistics company.
