I have a 2012 Panamera 4S and recently upgraded and put on a steering wheel with wood trim.
My car's build sheet shows Burr Walnut Interior Package (821) so the dealership ordered that and installed it. When I drove it and was in the daylight (not the dark shop), I realized that both the color and the grain do not match.
My interior trim is more like mahogany and the steering wheel if more like a brown and they do not match. While I understand that the color of the wood and the grain can be somewhat different and unique, I can't imagine that Porsche would sell a wheel that does not even remotely match (see pictures).
So, does anyone have any ideas as to how this can be? Unless I can get a wheel that matches, I am going to just have them remove it, put the original wheel back on and refund the money. The parts guy is trying to find out what is going on but I figured I would give you guys a shot.
exactly the setup and combination I have except I never noticed they don't match. I have the Burr Walnut too. I am guessing the trim on the steering wheel is the closest it gets.
