I agree that the seats are uncomfortable.. I have the lumbar support is very stiff. I wish I could take that one part of the seat our completely.. The seats in the Cayenne are much better..

I have talked to quite a few people who are not fans of the seats in these cars, and most of them were bigger guys than I am. These seats are not built for most American bodies. For me the 18 ways fit perfectly, though I already had them (I had modified a set from a GT3 for my 997) and knew what they felt like but I have had some experience modifying seats and there are ways to make them more comfortable but it will require changing the padding inside the seat.

Hard to say what makes these seats uncomfortable for some and not others. Variety of factors related to your size and health i suppose.
I have the 18 way and have also sat in the back- i think these are some of the best seats i have had in any car. Only my wife's old Escalade was better - but it was a living room couch...........

I have the 14 way seats and it seems these are the seats that get the most complaints..

We have a loaner Cayenne this week. A no frills Cayenne, base seats. And they are vastly more comfortable than the 14 ways in the Panamera.

For some odd reason, the seats in the Cayennes just fit more people better than the Panamera.

I'd say to keep tweaking and adjusting for you Panamera folks, there are enough adjustments that you can hopefully dial it in to something more bearable. Also, the seating positions themselves between the two are very different, which will probably have an impact on how you feel behind the wheel.

So i just realized that the seats in panamera's are the factor that make them uncomfortable! I have always thought that the sporty suspensions are the culprit.

A lot of it has to do with:

A - adjustment
B - your size

I think those seats are a bit narrow for bigger people and therefore are not as comfy. But I do agree that they are not that "soft", but they are not that bad. If compared to my seats in Cayenne, they actually give you more grip to your body and my seats are 14 way, not 18 way.

I wonder what is that extra 4 way adjustment difference that you get?
