Might I ask about the 2012 Base Panamera;
1. The vehicle I am looking at does not have the Bose system. Is it true that without that upgrade the car also *does not* have built in satellite radio capability?
2. Does the auto have a remote garage door opener?
3. While this is in the literature I'd like to confirm that the auto has (a) Bluetooth Hands Free Connectivity for the iPhone and (b) simple USB connection of the iPod that also displays current usage information (song title, etc) on the Nav screen.

Even the Base model will be a major purchase for me and while I realize these are "minor" questions I'd like to get this right before I start the purchase negotiation dance.

I can't answer 1 or 3. I know that in my wife's Cayman S, the base radio didn't have a USB port. Porsche's radio upgrades are overpriced, but aftermarket radios are more difficult to fit than in most cars, because it's not a standard dual-DIN slot. I've got a S e Hybrid, but that comes with a lot of stuff standard that is optional on the base model.

All models of the Panamera come with the built-in garage door opener. It has buttons for learning 3 different signals, though if you're like most people you'll only use one.

 

BOSE and Sat radio are individual options, you can have none, either one or both.
