X-pipe options for TT
Not a huge upgrade sound wise but may add additional resonance for highway driving. Even in CA you could utilize 200-cell CATS and pass emission checks.
First and with all due respect Fabspeed products are of top quality, but with fairly high prices.
There is nothing exotic about an "X" pipe. My experience (not a Porsche) is no power gain and a bit "sharper" exhaust noise. Any competent exhaust shop can install a "x" pipe, but note there are some differences in design - i.e. Magnaflow vs. Borla. Suggest research on UTube. There are plenty of films on this subject.
As for 200 cell cats, they will probably pass any 49 state "sniff test." They won't make it in CA, which requires oem cats - period. Fabricating a new down pipe with 200 cell cats is much more complicated than just a simple "x" pipe replacement.
