GTC exhaust or AWE exhaust?

Thinking of change my 4s OME exhaust to aftermarket exhaust.
I almost ordered the AWE touring exhaust but my friend told me GTC is better, they are about the same price however GTC has the EV control.
I am looking at sound and performance.
Anyone has any idea?

You are not going to get much (if anything) on the performance side out of just an exhaust so I'd listen to both and which one you like.

Hehe - the potential buyer (person who started this post) calls it AWE TOURING exhaust, while the seller calls it a TUNING exhaust.

I have to agree with McPrice here. If any and only IF you get any increase in HP out of it, it will be so little that you won't be able to feel it.

Pick the one you believe sounds best.

Here you have the Touring Edition exhaust from AWE Tuning.

Power gains you can see below. Porsche did a great job with the factory exhaust but we did unlock more performance, even if it isn't overwhelming.


We incorporate our signature 180 Technology equipped resonator to cut down on harsh tones and droning while encouraging an aggressive bark when you are getting on it.

I have to say, the prices I see for some of these exhaust systems for Porsche is nuts !

I have the AWE Exhaust on my 4s and I love the sound and it has no drone. Both AWE and Fabspeed are in my backyard and I have dealt with(my neighbor went for the AWE exhaust on his 996tt after being in my Panny, and the 997 has their cats on it I think) them since each of them started out. Yes the gains are probably there but in small numbers that you will probably think are bigger just because it sounds so good.. There was a vendor on here a while back touting some big gains with a tune and an Agency CAI. I was going to try it but for a while I was going to get rid of the Panamera. I decided to keep it and picked up a 650i and gave it the Dinan treatment. The days of getting big power gains for changing an exhaust are gone, though some cars (like the early Gallardo) have heavy somewhat restrictive exhausts on them and they can make a difference especially in weight (I think you can save over 50Lbs with the lambo) there might be some weight savings with these cars as well. I am partial but I'd go with the AWE.

I only have had Fabspeed products, on the cab (which you can here coming about a mile away but that is because of what else was done to it) in the my pic as well as on other cars including my Gallardo. It is in my opinion a question of what you like. I bought my girlfriend a 650i convertible (I got the coupe) for her birthday and her car has the Msport exhaust and I bought something from a company called exhaust meister that allows you to open and close the baffles remotely ( I had another companies product for my c6 Z06) and it works great. I would suggest this is something all exhaust companies should offer. Sometimes you need to be quiet and almost all my cars are not.
